Reson and I strive to be around people that are going to help us grow closer to our Heavenly Father. One of the ways that I do this is by reading blogs from Christian artist. I have found that I am very connected to the thought processes of Adie Camp (Jeremy Camp's wife). She wrote this blog yesterday, and it was something that I have remind myself daily in the way that I want to parent/grow in my Christian walk/be a better wife to Reson.
"I want to continually be someone who recognizes my weaknesses and falls on my knees and stretches out my arms and asks God to forgive me and to help me. So that I will walk in deep fear and awe before God, so that my life will be counted faithful and used for God’s glory. I don’t want to look to the past and think of how God has moved, but to think about what more I can do to serve Him and how much deeper I can go.
What are the areas in our hearts that we need to lay before the Lord today?
The area that God is speaking to me about is with my girls.
I had such a fun day with them yesterday, but I was also at times really impatient with them. I know I need to be more wise about how I respond to them, remembering that they are children and it is my job to train them (patiently) and to take into account where they’re coming from and that the are still immature. I also need to grow in not venting my frustration and “adding drama.” I realize that they will learn as much as I demonstrate to them.
Actions speak louder than words and are the greatest example when it comes to leadership…
I want to be so much more tender hearted always and wiser with my words. I want to act and not react. As in choose wisely how to respond and not be quick to answer back negatively."
The past week has been full of fevers, sleeplessness, and daily exhaustion. Logan had a fever in the beginning of the week (teething), he has been waking up numerous times in the night, and Bobby (my brother) broke his ankle, which led to me driving him around to the DR, x-ray, pharmacy...
It is with this type of week that brings me to have to practice my patience with the boys. I needed this blog to help me get through my day today. I woke up with a fever, so dealing with the boys has been challenging.
Live patient.
Be wise.
Strive for humility.
Pray.
Have faith.
Live for His glory.

Easter Egg Hunt on Palm Sunday
At our church, the children's department did an Easter Egg Hunt that went really well. Luk had a great time, and Logan had fun playing with Reson. This is not going to be a lengthy post, but here are the two boys.

Golf, Sleep, Concert
The Lord has really blessed Reson and I with wonderful boys. Luk has turned into quite the learner, and along with his want to learn, he has turned into a little leader. We always knew that Luk would be a wonderful big brother, but I never realized just how much of a leader he could be. He is a teacher. He loves to show Logan (and other children) what all he can do. It is with this that Reson and I try to have new things to teach him regularly. When he wants to learn he catches on quickly, and is very good at it.
Case in point... Golf
Reson spent the morning teaching Luk how to swing his golf club properly, and within a few swings he was doing pretty good. Look at that ball go.
Logan was happy just be hanging out watching his big brother and Daddy practice their swings.
Luk was ecstatic to get to spend the day with Reson. He loves his daddy so much.
He was very excited that he was hitting that ball. The next morning was tiring...
As you can see, Luk was rather tired. He came into our room that morning, and he came right in and fell asleep. If you know Luk this is not usually something he does. We must have really tuckered him that day.
Reson and I went to another concert. It is crazy to think that we went to two concerts in two weeks, but looking at it, these two concerts are two that took almost four years to happen. We decided that they were spiritually rejuvenating that we will try to go to two concerts a year. They were both very good for our souls.
Casting Crowns, Kutless, and CALEB were wonderful Godly people to hear talk about their life experiences and love for God.
Reson would like to say that the only group he was there to see that night was Kutless, however this is not true.
He secretly loves CALEB almost as much as I do. If you don't know this is Steven Curtis Chapman's sons. They are great Godly men. I have always wanted to meet Steven, but I must say that I am completely content having met these two guys. They are so genuine. It made my night, and I must say that it will probably have been one of the greatest things that I have gotten to do outside of family. When meeting people that you don't know. Praying for them during and after their family tragedy. It was great telling them that they have been in my prayers. Life is full experiences, and I am glad that I got to experience meeting them.

Pumped Up
There are just certain things that you need in life, and for me I have realized that going to Christian concerts is a way to really rejuvenate the spirit. Our pastor is a great man of God, and he has really been convicting our lives. With Reson being the Youth Pastor, we get pretty busy in our house, and being able to get away and spend a couple of hours having someone else lead the worship gives us a nice break for us.
As you can see from the post below, Reson and I attended the Adie and Jeremy Camp Concert. It was a wonderful time of worship and convicting to really seek out God's will for our lives. With this conviction has come great frustration for me. I want to be living a life for God, but I have to deal with that not everyone seeks this in their live. The sad thing is that many Christians don't seek this, and we are having to discern those that are seeking God's will for their lives. Why the need of discernment? Because Reson and I are trying to surround ourselves with like minded souls, and this has proven to be challenge at times.
We are blessed to have found some, however those that wish were that way, simply aren't. As we read daily our Bibles, Christian blogs, it is evident that this world is not helping Christians desire the will of God.
I am reminded of a Caedmon's Call song, "This World"
There's tarnish on the golden rule
And I wanna jump from this ship of fools
Show me a place where hope is young
And a people who aren't afraid to love
This world has nothing for me and this world has everything
All that I could want and nothing that I need
This world is making me drunk on the spirits of fear.
So when he says who will go, I am nowhere near.
And the least of these look like criminals to me
So I leave Christ on the street
This world has held my hand and has led me into intolerance
But now I'm waking up, but now I'm breaking up
But now I'm making up for lost time
We are raising our boys to love God and to only want his will for their lives. It has pumped us to really seek the will of God. Here is a cute little moment Logan and I had this morning. I decided that I want to reread "The Knowledge of the Holy" by A.W. Tozer, and this happened... Logan grabbed the book and gave this beautiful smile.
Good times!

Talk about Busy!
This past week was jammed packed with events for our family. I was especially excited about taking Reson out for his Birthday on Saturday. Before that happened, Luk and I made rainbow cupcakes thanks to seeing the recipe from our dear friends Hannah and Benjamin Davis.
However, the night ended with us coming home to sick little boy. Logan had been coughing since Wednesday, and it seemed to turn for the worse Saturday night. Logan and I stayed home from church, and he was in my arms the whole day. We are blessed to have a Pediatrician that has nights and weekend hours, and it allows us to take him to actual DR and not an ER. Logan was pretty congested and not getting the amount of oxygen that he should get. He tested negative for RSV, and we were sent home with a Nebulizer and breathing treatments. Needless to say, I'm exhausted, but he is feeling better.
After having fun with that, we took Luk to an event our town puts on called "Friday Night Live." Well, let's just say Luk was having fun in the Bounce House when an older boy hit him in the eye.
Saturday, he youth group had a car wash, and I surprised Reson with tickets to a Jeremy Camp concert. We ended up in the third row, and He loved it, I loved it. What an amazing man of God, and his wife. They are an incredibly talented pair. Reson and I were blessed that night. It was a wonderful date night. We needed that time alone, and it was wonderful to spend it with my best friend getting closer to our maker.

"Logan is so cute!"
"Logan is so cute, he is the cutest baby ever!" This is what Luk says to me as he is making his baby brother laugh. It is the sweetest thing seeing Luk love on Logan. Reson and I knew that Luk would be a wonderful big brother. It was one of our main reasons for expanding our family. How could we deny Luk the love that he had? Luk has a big heart. With each friend that he saw get a little brother, he wanted one. I am excited to see how this brotherhood flourishes. I will not say that he is perfect with Logan, all the time, but the majority of the time, he is great with him. We will see what happens when Logan starts wanting to play with toys. =)
